Flexible Duct

Flexible ducting, also known as ‘flex’, is used to transport heated or cooled air from the unit into your home and vice versa through the grilles or diffusers.
Flexible duct is very convenient for attaching supply air outlets to the rigid ductwork. It is commonly attached with long zip ties or metal band claps.
Flexible ducts can speed installation by reducing the number of joints in a run and eliminating the need for elbows and offsets.
It is a multiply aluminium, polyester laminated ducting with an en-capsulated high tensile steel wire helix.
Easy to install over either round or oval ducting due to high flexibility.
No special tools required for cutting or fixing.
In case of a fire no toxic gases are emitted.
The products have been tested on fire resistance.
Low costs due to faster installation, transport and logistics.

Applications and Benefits

INFLEX insulated flexible ducts are thermally insulated fully lined designed for low to medium pressure cooling & heating HVAC systems. It can be used in either supply or return sections & provides economical means for handling misalignment between system components & ducting around obstacles where fabricated & fitted GI ducts are difficult & costly to use.
It is equally suitable for new jobs or retrofit works and especially useful for system extensions or changing conditioned zones, now or in future. Compliance to NFPA standards allows installing length longer than 14” limitation applying to connectors for fire & flame safety in ducting systems.
It is a highly efficient part of total duct system because the smooth liner, the ample insulation and tough outer vapour barrier provide excellent air flow, thermal insulation and double air seal.
It’s widely used in projects where installation of the ducts is to be done swiftly, & for short term installation etc.
