PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: POLY WOOL
- INSOUND POLYWOOL Polywool is PET recyclable polyester wool made by synthetic fibers, bonded by thermoplastic binder. INSOUND® Polywool is available in white color, wide range of widths, lengths and thickness.
- INSOUND POLYWOOL Polywool is a category of polymers that contain the ester functional group in their main chain. As a specific material, it most commonly refers to a type called polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
- PET-Polyethylene terephthalate (Sometimes written poly (ethylene terephthalate)), Commonly abbreviated PET, PETE or the obsolete PETP or PET-P, is the most common thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family and is used in fibres. PET Consist of polymerized units of the monomer ethylene terephthalate, with repeating (C10H804) units.
- The majority of the world's PET production is for synthetic fibres (in excess of 60%), with bottle production accounting for about 30% of global demand.
- INSOUND® Polywool is an excellent material for acoustic insulation and thermal insulation application. It is made of flexible and non - itchy fibers. It is widely used for under-roof applications and partition walls in factories and buildings.

ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE:
- 50 mm thick INSOUND® Polywool have NRC (Noise reduction coefficient) value 0.75 in accordance with IS 8225/ISO 354/ASTM C 423 (Type E mounting).
- Sound Absorption coefficient in 1/3 octave band is shown in below chart.

- INSOUND® Polywool can be used in machine enclosure wall as it also fulfils the requirement of the light weight.
