INSOUND POLY BOARDS
- INSOUND® Poly Boards are high performance and durable sound absorptive product. Installation of polyester board is very convenient and be even completed by inexperienced labor and create visually striking interiors with superior acoustic performance.
- Consist of a three dimensional network structure with breathable polyester boards are made from recyclable PET fiber. It is prepared by needle punching on folded polyester board.

COLOR GUIDE:
- INSOUND" Poly Board can be used for decorative interior and it is available in in 24+ colors to meet architect's requirements.
ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE:
- INSOUND Poly Board have NRC (Noise reduction coefficient) value 0.65 to 0.8 in accordance with IS 8225/ISO 354/ASTM C 423 (Type E mounting).
- Sound Absorption coefficient in 1/3 octave band is shown in below chart.

INSOUND® POLY BOARDAPPLICATION AREA:
1) Walls (Auditorium/Theatres/Conferences/Classroom):
- Walls are very crucial parts of acoustic treatment of any enclosed space. Hard/reflective walls may cause the repetition of same sound for larger time span. It leads to acoustic defects like echoes, which eventually result into poor acoustic comfort.
- Also, Walls should have enough sound insulation to reduce the sound transmission from the enclosed space/ into the enclosed space for the privacy as well as to prevent disturbance into original sound in enclosed space.
- Application like auditorium, theatres, conference room and Class room walls must have proper acoustic insulation in order to achieve absorption as well as isolation. So material combination shall have appropriate NRC (Noise Reduction coefficient) as well as enough STC (Sound Transmission Class) value. Also, material combination shall meet aesthetic and architectural requirements.
COMBINATION OF INSOUND® POLY BOARD WITH INSERA® -TAF AND INSOUND® BARRIER CAN ACHIEVE AN EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE FOR THESE WALLS' ACOUSTIC INSULATION:

2) Beams and Columns (Gym, Banquet Hall and large assembly halls):
- In applications like Gym/banquet hall interior design is very important, but at the same time space shall have appropriate reverberation time (RT60). To achieve the design reverberation time (RT60) without disturbing the major interior design it's important to utilize area of beams and columns.
- INSOUND Poly boards have an excellent NRC up to 0.75 and it can be easily customized in any shape and size as per requirements.
- Also, INSOUND Poly boards are available in multiple colour sheds to meet the architectural requirement. It is the best suited material for beams and columns to increase the effective absorption area inside the space.

3) Ceiling (Home Theatre, Recording room, and conference/assembly halls):
- Ceiling is the key part for any acoustic design to achieve the desired reverberation time (RT60), good STI (Speech transmission index), desired Noise criteria and required STC (Sound Transmission Class) to prevent sound transmission from one floor to another floor.
- Based on the application type and requirement of the desired acoustic performance in terms of above parameters it's very important to choose an ideal combination for ceiling acoustic insulation.
- INSOUND Poly Board play a major role in these combinations as it has an excellent NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) as well as it can fulfil an aesthetic requirement of architects.
- Following combination of INSOUND Poly Board with INROCK® Encapsulated / INSERA® Acoustic Pads can be ideal for ceiling acoustic Insulation.
- Material combination shall have anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties in addition to acoustic requirements like NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) and STC (Sound Transmission Class). Also, it shall not be reactive in room ambience
- Following combination of the INSOUND® Poly Boards with INSOUND FOAM/INFOAM XPS board can be ideal for clean room acoustic solution. INFIX Proteck can be applied before the insulation as vapour barrier to avoid any moisture ingress.
5) Space Concern Acoustic Application:
- Space is an important aspect for any application. Some applications may require pleasant sound quality and privacy without compromising the space.
- For such application it's very important to select the material combination in such a way that it should have appropriate sound reduction as well as absorption.
- Combination of INSOUND Poly Board with INSOUND" barrier can be ideal for such application.
RECOMMENDED ADHESIVE:
- INSOUND Poly Board can be easily fixed on building material directly with the help of INBOND Adhesive.
- Use of INBOND Adhesive with ploy board results in excellent bonding with structure without affecting its acoustic performance.
- Note: for all above application ideal material combinations and material exact thickness & density can only decided based on type of application, targeted frequency range, acoustic requirements, and ambient condition.
