EXHAUST DUCTS ARE IMPORTANT
Exhaust Ducts are a vital part of any area that has to vent out the toxic gases, heat or even air in order to maintain indoor air quality. Usually there is an exhaust fan at the end of such a vent. This fan moves at a very high speed to create suction, which pulls the air out into the open. The high speed of the fan, generates heat which is transferred to the entire exhaust duct.
THE DUCTS MAY NOT BE TOUCH SAFE
Ducts kitchen vent out various food aromas. Commercial kitchens may have a hood over the cooking area. The hood may get heated up due to its constant exposure to flame and various gases. This heat is transferred to the entire exhaust duct again. Usually such ducts are at an accessible level to humans. If someone touches these ducts accidentally or to clean them, it can lead to serious burn injuries.
- Exhaust Ducts help keep the indoor air clean
- Hood and fast moving exhaust fan cause the duct to heat up
- It can cause burn injuries to someone who touches it
INSAFE MAKES DUCT TOUCH SAFE
To avoid grievous injuries on touching the duct accidentally or intentionally, it needs to be insulated from inside. The insulation prevents the heating of the ducts, keeping them at service temperature. So it is safe to touch them.
InSafe is also Fire Retardant
The insulation materials used in these ducts are fire retardant which prevent the spread of fire. The insulation thickness depends on the maximum surface temperature allowed on the duct. Also, ventilation systems require thermal insulation in order to restrict and control heat loss in certain scenarios. For financial and environmental reasons, it is important to reduce unnecessary heat loss in ducts that transport warm air.
Dimensions
The thickness of this system is designed on the basis of usage, area of access and surface temperature required.
- InSafe Systems regulate the heating of the ducts
- So the ducts become touch safe
- InSafe also resists the spread of fire
VAULTS PROTECT VALUABLES
Vaults and safes help professionals and families secure critical and important documents like wills, property documents, certificates, etc. High ranking officials, doctors, advocates and other professionals have high value documents or paper work that need to be kept secure and safe. Vaults and safes are also used in offices and hospitals, where employee records or essentials are stored. In IT firms and huge corporate offices, vaults or strong rooms are used as server rooms, which protect the online files of the organization while ensuring service continuity.
FIRE CAN DESTROY THESE DOCUMENTS
These critical documents need to be kept safe, which includes physical safety from fire as well. In case of fire, these articles digital or physical can be lost forever. This loss may impact the finances, productivity, sentiments and morale of the stakeholders which may negatively impact business and families through trauma.
FIRE MAY START FROM WITHIN SERVER ROOMS
Fire can also start from the inside a server room. The machines and servers running here usually have the tendency to heat up, which can cause fire. This fire can also spread to the outside of the server room causing irreparable damage.
- Vaults are used to keep critical documents safe
- If fire destroys these documents, damage to life and business is irreparable
- Server room systems may heat up and cause fire
INSAFE VAULT CREATES FIRE WALL
These critical documents and articles – digital or physical – can be protected from fire related damages. The most efficient and stress free way of doing that is by using fire retardant materials in the walls of the vaults, server rooms, strong rooms, safes, etc. This method of insulating the walls is known as creating fire walls.
How NFPA Defines Fire Wall?
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) rightly defines fire wall as “a wall separating buildings or subdividing a building to prevent the spread of fire and having a fire resistance rating and structural stability” even if complete collapse of structures occur on either side of a fire wall.
Save Critical Documents And Lives
This system creates a fire barrier and partition which prevents heat and flame from passing through them. To perform optimally, they are built in accordance with acceptable laboratory testing standards and are maintained to ensure continued ability to withstand fire for 30 to 180 minutes. The thickness of this system and combination of materials can be designed in accordance with the application and the risk assessment of fire based on the surroundings.
- InSafe Vault Systems can create a fire wall that resists fire
- It can withstand fire for 30 to 180 minutes
- This can help save critical documents and lives
